The Pyramids
The Giza Pyramids Complex (also called the Giza Cemetery) is an archaeological site on the Giza Plateau in Greater Cairo, Egypt. The complex includes the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure along with associated pyramid complexes and the Great Sphinx. These pyramids were all built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom in ancient Egypt between 2600 and 2500 BC. The site also includes several cemeteries and the remains of a workers’ village.

A statue of a mythical creature with the body of a lion and the head of a human. It was carved from limestone. It was likely originally covered with a layer of plaster and colored, and traces of the original colors are still visible next to one of its ears.

The Citadel of Saladin and Mohamed Ali Mosque
The Citadel of Cairo or Citadel of Saladin (Arabic: Saladin Citadel, romanized: Qalaʿat Salāḥ ad-Dīn) is a medieval Islamic-era fortification in Cairo, Egypt, built by Salah ad-Din (Saladin) and further developed by subsequent Egyptian rulers. It was the seat of government in Egypt and the residence of its rulers for nearly 700 years from the 13th century until the construction of Abdeen Palace in the 19th century. Its location on a promontory of the Mokattam hills near the center of Cairo commands a strategic position overlooking the city and dominating its skyline. When it was constructed it was among the most impressive and ambitious military fortification projects of its time.[1] It is now a preserved historic site, including mosques and museums.
