The black desert

The white desert 

It is located in Egypt, 45 kilometers (30 miles) north of the New Farafra Oasis in the El Wadi Governorate, about 500 kilometers from Cairo. It was declared a natural reserve in 2002 and has an area of 3,010 square kilometers. It was called the White Desert because it has the white color that covers most of the desert. Its area is 3010 square kilometers. The White Desert is protected by deserts and natural landscapes, as the desert represents an example of the phenomenon of karak-kama, and is particularly reserved for structural and physiological texts and natural fossils, and contains prehistoric images. The reserve is favored by the beautiful views of the sand dunes, the tectonic formations of the bright white limestone and chalk  rocks, and the fossils they contain.
